As an incentive to get us exploring the many wondrous regional parks this summer, here are several ways to celebrate Metro Vancouver Regional Parks 50th Anniversary.
Rewarding Passport Program
Here’s how it works:
- Get your passport (either paper or digital)
- Visit one of the 18 participating regional parks
- Collect a different stamp at each one
- Earn rewards. Win prizes!
Knowing me, I tend to leave paper-based books at home a lot. I’ll be opting for digital as I know I will always have my phone with me.

Is there someone on your gift list that loves to show park-pride through wearing a hoodie, tee or other gear? Check out Metro Van’s online shop where you can customize your favourite tee or shirt with the logo of their favourite Metro Vancouver park. A portion of proceeds goes to Pacific Parklands Foundation, a registered charity dedicated to the conservation and enhancement of Metro Vancouver’s regional parks.
Local Events
There are also many events happening at many of the regional parks that you can find by filtering through their event calendar. We’re thinking about either visiting the outdoor music event on the North Shore in September or one of the many Nature Houses in the many parks.
